Nollywood actor, Ibrahim Chatta, has been thrown into mourning following the death of his son.
Naija News reports that the 54-year-old actor shared the sad development on Saturday through his Instagram page, describing it as an act of God.
He shared a photo of the deceased with the caption, “Inna Lillahi wa inna ileyhi rajiun. Ya Allah, you are the knower of all things. Rest on, Dear son, champ.”
The loss adds to his past pain, as he once revealed that his first child, a baby girl, died years ago because he could not afford proper medical care.
He recounted how she was buried in a wooden crate after his struggle to raise money for treatment came too late.
This latest tragedy comes barely days after another Nollywood star, Peju Ogunmola, lost her only son, Ayomikun, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
The 24-year-old was the child of Ogunmola and her husband, Omobolanle Sunday.
In other news, Nigerian singer, Nwachukwu Ozioko, better known as Bracket’s Vast, has recounted his struggle with lymphoma, a cancer of the blood, in 2013.
Naija News reports that Vast, during an interview on the AFRIMMA Podcast, described the period as unforgettable.
He acknowledged that the unwavering support of his team was crucial, as everyone pooled their financial resources together to fund his treatment.
