The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Ayoola Olajolo as the new Director of Administration at its National Secretariat.
Barr. Felix Morka, APC National Publicity Secretary, announced the appointment in a statement on Friday.
Naija News reports that Olajolo, a lawyer and experienced public administrator, is expected to manage the party’s daily operations and oversee its administrative activities.
Olajolo, who hails from Ile-Ife in Osun State, was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2016.
He began his public service career in local government, serving as Secretary of Ife Central Local Government from 1999 to 2003 before being elected Chairman.
These roles helped him develop strong administrative skills and a clear understanding of governance at the grassroots level.
After his tenure in local government, Olajolo joined the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA).
At NASRDA, he advanced to the position of Assistant Chief Legal Officer, handling complex administrative and legal responsibilities while gaining experience in public policy and organizational management.
In his new position at APC, Olajolo will be responsible for managing human resources, implementing efficient administrative systems, and ensuring smooth execution of the party’s programs and activities.
The party in a statement has congratulated him on his appointment and wishes him success in leading the Secretariat’s administrative functions.
This appointment follows the tragic passing of the previous Director of Administration, AbdulRauf Adekunle Adeniji, who was kidnapped in January 2025 and later died in captivity.
His death led to a temporary closure of the APC National Secretariat as the party mourned his loss .
