The Federal Government will today (Thursday) arraign two top leaders of the Ansaru terrorist group, an Al-Qaeda-linked network, before the Federal High Court, Abuja. The United States has approved the sale of advanced air-to-air missiles and related equipment to Finland, valued at $1.07 billion. The deal, Naija News understands, is still subject to Congress’s approval and will boost Finland’s aerial defence capability. According to published reports, the weapons in question are AIM-120D-3 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAMs), one of the more capable radar-guided missiles in current use.
