Reality TV star, Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has advised women to see themselves as single until they are married.
The beautician stressed that relationships should not prevent them from meeting potential life partners.
Naija News reports that she made the remark during an interview on the Out of the Box podcast, where she discussed how men often make quick marriage decisions compared to women.
According to her, this difference makes it unnecessary for women to restrict themselves in relationships that may not lead to marriage.
Tacha explained that remaining open-minded gives women a better chance of finding their true love rather than being tied down by boyfriends who may not be committed.
She said: “Every girl should be single until they are actually married. It doesn’t matter if you are in a relationship, whether it’s one, two, or three. The truth is that with men, it is easier for them to meet a woman and decide within a short time, even two weeks, that they want to get married. But for women, it doesn’t work that way.
“That is why it doesn’t make sense to tie yourself down and stop meeting other people just because you are in a relationship. Many women miss out on real opportunities because they tell themselves, ‘I already have a boyfriend, so I can’t date someone else.
“My point is simple, don’t let your boyfriend stop you from meeting your husband. Even if I were in a relationship, I would still say I am single until I am married.”
