A Naira Marley concert in the Benin Republic, on Saturday, turned chaotic after a fan stormed the stage in an attempt to attack the singer.
The Marlian Music boss was in the middle of his performance when the unidentified man charged at him. Security operatives quickly intercepted the intruder and bundled him off the stage, preventing what could have been a violent scene.
The incident, captured in a trending video, has since gone viral on social media, sparking heated reactions and speculations about the motive of the stage invader.
Reacting, Naira Marley reposted the clip on his 𝕏 handle with a playful caption: “The moment I got attacked on stage see baba oninu re.”
The incident comes weeks after the singer publicly addressed controversies surrounding the death of his former signee, Mohbad, who died on September 12, 2023, in Lagos at the age of 27.
Mohbad’s death triggered the #Justice4MohBad movement, with many Nigerians demanding accountability over the circumstances that led to his passing.
