Nigerian singer, Mr. Eazi has revealed that his marriage to Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola, was not financed solely through his music career.
Naija News reports that the clarification followed speculation online that his latest single, Cassanova, was released to cover wedding costs.
Mr Eazi dismissed the claim, saying: “U think sey music go fit pay for that wedding my G? lol.”
Mr. Eazi explained that even though he had hit songs in 2017 and 2018, that period was actually one of the toughest financially in the past decade.
He acknowledged that his music generated income, but it was not enough to pay for a wedding of that scale.
The singer expressed gratitude for the success of his music during those years, but confirmed that other sources of funding likely supported his wedding.
“You got a point tho, but 2017-18 is the brokest I’ve been in the last 9 years! But all the music I put out then enter like mad sha im really thankful,” he wrote.
Mr. Eazi and Temi Otedola tied the knot in a private ceremony in Iceland, following their engagement in London in April 2022.
In other news, Nigerian singer, Azeez Adeshina Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has shared advice on relationships.

Naija News reports that the singer, in a post, pointed out that a home without peace can be harsher than prison.
He wrote: “Be careful who you date and marry, the toughest prison is a home without peace.”
