Nollywood actress Lilian Esoro has urged people to value true friendship and avoid betrayal in the face of personal challenges or relationships.
In a post on her Instagram story, she stressed the importance of standing by friends, especially during difficult times, instead of abandoning them for selfish reasons.
Naija News reports that she warned that while certain situations might seem comfortable at the moment, they do not always last.
Esoro further advised against letting love or lust lead to the loss of genuine friendships, adding that men or relationships should never be allowed to come between friends.
She said that every friend has a limit to what they can tolerate when they are constantly disregarded or betrayed.
The actress ended her message by stating that those who feel it applies to them should take it as a personal call to reflection.
She wrote: “When a friend looks out for you… never betray a friend for your own benefit, especially when facing a difficult situation or controversy. It may be rosey now… sometimes/most times, it’s not forever. Don’t get carried away by love or lust… men/boys will make you lose your friends (and the real ones). There is so much that friend can take when you keep throwing them under the bus… (if the shoe fits after reading this, then this message is for you!).”
