Former National Treasurer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Fanda Adamu, has likened the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to a headless chicken, insisting that the party is politically lifeless despite recent efforts to reposition itself.
Naija News reports that Adamu made the remark on Wednesday while fielding questions on Channels Television’s Politics Today, in reaction to the PDP’s decision to zone its 2027 presidential ticket to the South.
The APC chieftain dismissed PDP’s chances in the 2027 general elections, stressing that the opposition party has become a shadow of its former self.
He maintained that the internal crisis between the PDP’s 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, was a testament to the party’s weakness.
He said, “The PDP is dead. You know PDP now is just like a chicken whose head has been cut off. It can continue to wriggle but, you know, it’s dead. The head has been cut off. They are still wriggling.
“What is PDP? It’s Wike and Atiku. Atiku has left. Wike is one leg in, one leg out. So tell me, PDP, if they like, let them zone the presidency to the ocean, not to the South. They will never win.”
