Human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has reiterated his decision to vote for President Bola Tinubu if the opposition coalition, African Democratic Congress (ADC), fields former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, for the 2027 election.
Naija News reports that Deji stated this after former Chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Sam Amadi, referenced him as Tinubu’s supporter.
Amadi’s claim follows speculations that Deji may be silently working for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), but the lawyer has since denied it.
Reacting to Deji’s post against Peter Obi on 𝕏, Amadi wrote, “You are a Tinubu supporter; I am an Obi supporter. You have a good (personal) reason for your support. You are within your right”.
Responding to Amadi, Deji made a mockery of him, insisting that if Peter Obi secured the presidential ticket of ADC, he would not hesitate to cast his vote for APC.
Deji added that he will help Tinubu secure a second-term bid, as many Peter Obi supporters divided the opposition votes.
He wrote, “Your tears are tasty the Doc, my able lecturer. I will openly vote Tinubu with my full chest if the opposition makes the mistake of presenting your candidate.
“I will help Tinubu secure a second term the way you guys helped him in 2023 by dividing opposition votes.”
