The National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka, has asserted that the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, is entirely out of touch with happenings in the country.
Naija News reports that Morka made the claim on Monday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today.
The APC spokesman alleged that Atiku does not reside in Nigeria and is not paying attention to the unfolding economic programmes of President Bola Tinubu‘s government.
According to Morka, it is surprising that Atiku will make comments on hunger on a day when every newspaper is reporting the lowering of the country’s inflation numbers.
He said, “At this point, I want to believe that Atiku is not in this country; he does not live in this country. He’s completely out of touch with what goes on in this country.
“I think he just goes back to his old notebooks and picks up a headline and begins to write as he does.
“If Atiku was paying attention to the unfolding economic programmes of this government, he wouldn’t have made the kind of statement that he made today.
“It’s so surprising that Atiku would make this statement on a day when every newspaper is reporting the lowering of our inflation numbers.”
