The Alveena Master Class & Mentoring Session took center stage at the prestigious Crown Conference Hall and Marriott Hotel, bringing together aspiring event entrepreneurs, industry veterans, and creative visionaries eager to redefine African luxury.
Guided by the innovative leadership of Dr. Oladipupo Akinkunmi and Arc. Mrs Tolulope Oladipupo, the event was a whirlwind of profound insights, strategic discussions, and inspiring stories. Attendees were immersed in the principles of building profitable and scalable event brands, mastering the intricate art and business of event design, and pushing creative boundaries to craft unforgettable experiences.
This trip was more than just a master class — it was a celebration of resilience, innovation, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. As the founder of Alveena Events, I’ve always believed that true luxury is rooted in detail, originality, and the ability to tell compelling stories through design. Our background in fine and creative arts, coupled with my wife’s expertise in architecture, became our secret sauce — fueling our evolution and enabling us to explore and reinvent ourselves using materials available in our environment. This innovative approach to event decor, from themed designs like Louvre and Gardens by the Bay to the groundbreaking Crazy Rich Asians concept, has positioned us as pioneers in Nigeria’s luxury event scene.
Throughout the Kigali master class, I shared how our resilience — practicing disciplined reinvestment, deliberate HR practices, and continuous learning, including pursuing advanced degrees in Human Resource and Organizational Psychology — has helped us build a motivated, talented team capable of executing large-scale, high-end events that leave clients breathless.

Special guests, including renowned real estate moguls Dr. Crown Kay Amos and Dr. Ory-Martins Akinseloyin, joined the event organizers and participants for an evening of networking, idea-sharing, and forging new partnerships.
