Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has spoken on the link between body enhancement surgery and property ownership among Nigerian women of his age group.
Naija News reports that in an interview with The Honest Bunch podcast, the son of late Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti said that most of the women he knows who own houses in Nigeria have undergone Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery.
He stated that from his observation, about 80 percent of female homeowners within his generation fall into this category.
Kuti added that while he was not drawing any conclusions, the connection between women who own houses and those who have had cosmetic surgery appears to be common in Nigeria.
“For this Nigeria sha, I never see any woman wey get house, wey no get BBL. For my whole generation of women wey I see, 80% of homeowners are BBLs. I’m not insinuating anything, but there seems to be something special in Nigeria about BBL and success,” Kuti stated.
In other news, Afrobeats star Davido has revealed why he avoids blocking trolls on social media despite their constant negative comments.
Naija News reports that taking to his 𝕏 handle, the father of five explained that he prefers to let critics keep seeing his achievements rather than shutting them out.
According to him, blocking them would deprive them of the chance to witness his progress, which he wants them to watch closely.
