Nigerian chef, Damilola Adeparusi, better known as Chef Dammy, has denied reports that she is planning on cooking the largest pot of beans to break a Guinness World Records (GWR).
Chef Dammy, in an Instagram post on Wednesday, denied the reports, stating that embarking on such a project is “impossible”.
Naija News reports that shortly after celebrity chef, Hilda Baci, was officially certified by the GWR for cooking the largest serving pot of jollof rice, rumours emerged that Chef Dammy intends to attempt cooking the largest pot of beans.
However, in a denial posted via her Instagram account, Dammy denied such plans, saying they were simply baseless rumours.
She also extended congratulations to Hilda Baci for her jollof rice feat.
“I want to say a very big congratulations to Miss Hilda for the just concluded project of cooking the biggest pot of jollof rice to feed thousands of people.
“Imagine cooking in a very big pot to feed thousands. Congratulations to Nigerians as a whole too because this is a win for everybody; to all West African countries.
“Congratulations and thank you to Gino for sponsoring this event. Aside the fact that I sent congratulatory message to Hilda’s DM, I will still have to say a big thank you to her.
“I am actually making this video because people have been asking me where I was in the kitchen, that ‘Chef Dammy are you truly cooking beans’. No why would I do that?”
