
An 18-year-old teen, Imayen Ekanem has been arrested for allegedly posting a threat targeting a vigil for the late conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.
Naija News reports that the suspect, Imayen Ekanem, is facing a felony charge for making written threats of violence, including a possible mass shooting or act of terrorism.
Authorities said the alleged threat appeared on Ekanem’s private Snapchat account after she finished a shift at Zaxby’s on Tyler’s Way.
In the post, she allegedly referenced the vigil, warning that anyone attending “would be shot up.” Law enforcement was alerted to the post, leading to her arrest.
Ekanem was taken into custody at the St. Johns County Jail, and her phone was searched with her consent.
She has since been released on bond.
The vigil in question took place at Veterans Park in St. Johns County on Sunday.
