Odera Mbadiwe has declared that he is thankful to be alive after going missing for three days in Lagos.
Naija News reports that the younger brother of Big Brother Naija stars Ocee and Ozee Mbadiwe explained that he was forcefully given harmful substances which left him helpless and unable to reach his family.
He went missing on September 1, 2025, while driving his father’s Nissan 350Z Convertible in Victoria Island.
His brothers had raised alarm online, sharing his physical description and urging the public to contact the police with any useful information.
According to him, a young woman and a man later discovered him in a weak state by the roadside and reached out to his family, leading to his safe return.
In a post on Instagram he expressed deep gratitude to those who shared messages, offered prayers, and gave vital information during the search.
Odera also thanked the Nigerian Police and security agencies for acting quickly to support his family in securing his recovery.
He wrote:
He wrote, “Thank You All – I’m Grateful to Be Found and Healing. After being missing for three days, I, Odera Mbadiwe of the Ozuomba Mbadiwe family, am deeply thankful to be safe and recovering.
“It was later discovered that a concoction of multiple harmful substances had been introduced into my system by person or persons unknown to me, which led to a very difficult and uncertain time. However, with God’s grace and the unwavering support of my loved ones, I am here today — safe and getting stronger each day.
“I want to express my heartfelt thanks to my family, friends, and the general public (in particular the young lady and gentleman who in spite of daunting challenges were able to make contact with my family.) Your kind messages, well wishes, and the critical information shared during this challenging period helped in ways I can’t fully express.
Odera is currently recovering and regaining strength, thanking his family, friends, and the general public for their kind messages and well-wishes.
“I’m also incredibly grateful to the Nigerian Police and other security agencies for their dedication and hard work in ensuring my safe return.
“I am feeling much better now, growing stronger every day, and slowly returning to my old self. This experience has reminded me of the power of community, love, and faith.
“Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Odera Ozuomba Mbadiwe.”
