Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal has turned attention to his personal life after posting a romantic picture with Argentine singer Nicki Nicole, just days after the club confirmed he is sidelined with discomfort in the pubic area.
Lamine Yamal, a 17-year-old Spanish forward, shared the image on his Instagram story on Tuesday, September 16, setting it to Tupac’s song “Only God Can Judge Me”.
Naija News reports that the post came shortly after reports had circulated suggesting the pair had split up.
The new photo appears to show the couple together again, silencing speculation about their relationship.
Nicki Nicole, born on August 25, 2000, is 25 years old and is widely recognised as one of Argentina’s most successful young singers and rappers.
Her relationship with Yamal has attracted attention in both Spain and Latin America, largely due to their public appearances and active presence on social media.
Barcelona had earlier released a medical update confirming that the teenager is dealing with an ongoing problem.
“Lamine Yamal is experiencing discomfort in the pubic area and is currently unable to train or play. His return to training will depend on how his condition evolves,” the club announced in a statement on September 13, 2025.
The discomfort was reportedly aggravated during Spain’s recent international fixtures.
Lamine Yamal played 79 minutes against Bulgaria and 73 minutes against Turkey despite carrying the injury, relying on painkillers and skipping training sessions in between. His condition has since kept him out of action for Barcelona, and the club has not provided a timeline for his return.
Since the September international break, Yamal has yet to feature in a competitive match. His absence comes at a crucial stage of the season for Barcelona, who are juggling league and European commitments.
