Human rights activist and convener of the #RevolutionNow Movement, Omoyele Sowore, has lambasted the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, over comments suggesting he was “lucky” to have President Bola Tinubu as a tolerant leader despite his frequent criticisms.
Naija News had earlier reported that Wike, on Thursday, during the flag-off of the Arterial Road N1 construction in Wuye, Abuja, berated Sowore over his description of President Bola Tinubu as a “criminal.”
Wike said Sowore should count himself fortunate to have a president who respects the rule of law.
Responding via his verified 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday, Sowore accused the FCT minister of gross misconduct, alleging corruption, land grabbing and violence during his time in office.
He wrote, “I heard that the FCT’s drunkard–murderer–landgrabber–thief Minister, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, said Bola Ahmed Tinubu should have assassinated me for calling him #TinubuisAcriminal.”
Sowore, a former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, said Wike lacked the moral standing to criticise anyone.
He continued, “If Nigerians weren’t so docile, complacent, and cowardly, criminals, thieves, and murderers like Wike would never have any leadership roles in this country.
“SAD! Wike stole land in Abuja, Wike robbed the people of Rivers State, and Wike massacred Igbos at Obigbo.”
According to him, “Wike should be in The Hague at the International Criminal Court.”
