Former Senator who represented the Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye, has accused the erstwhile Deputy Governor of the state, Edward Onoja, of orchestrating attacks against him.
Naija News reports that Onoja, in a recent interview, tackled former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, alleging betrayal.
According to the former deputy governor, Bello promised him succession, but later ignored him and supported Usman Ododo
Reacting to Onoja’s outburst in a post on his 𝕏 account, Melaye asked the former Deputy Governor to stop crying.
He alleged that Onoja boasted he would be “dead before the end of June 2017.”
The former lawmaker expressed gratitude to God for surviving four assassination attempts.
He wrote, “Edward Onoja should keep quiet. He called Yahaya Bello his twin brother. He aided Bello and should stop crying.
“He instituted an FG case against me before Justice Goodluck’s court of the FCT High Court, which I won. He came to court as a witness. He was in charge of my recall and boasted I would be dead before the end of June 2017.
“They were behind my ordeals. Thank God I survived 4 assassination attempts where 12 people died, including my nephew, killed in our compound in Iluafon. Today he is whining. Watch this video… records don’t lie.”
