Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Phyna, is pushing for her sister, Ruth Otabor, to receive medical treatment in India after a ghastly accident in Edo State.
Naija News reports that the incident took place on August 13, 2025, near Auchi Polytechnic, just six days after Ruth graduated, and left her with injuries that required amputation of her leg.
On Sunday, Phyna was seen at the hospital where her sister is receiving care, meeting with members of the Dangote Group management.
She insisted that her sister should be flown abroad for treatment, arguing that her family cannot accept local care when others would be treated internationally.
Phyna specifically requested India as the destination for Ruth’s treatment.
She said: “I am putting my sister as Dangote’s child, because if not, Dangote will not bring his child here; they will fly them abroad. Dangote will not bring his child here. They must fly her to India.”
The Dangote Group confirmed visiting the accident site, speaking with law enforcement, and meeting the family at Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital.
The company pledged full medical support and compensation according to its welfare policy.
Phyna, who rose to fame in 2022 after winning BBNaija’s “Level Up” edition with a ₦100 million prize, has vowed to pursue proper care for her sister.
