Nollywood actress, Rita Edochie, has expressed sadness over the death of a loved one.
Naija News reports that the thespian in a post via Instagram revealed that last Sunday evening turned black for her after losing someone close to her heart.
Rita Edochie also expressed appreciation to everyone who had reached out and condoled with her over the loss.
She wrote, “Last Sunday evening turned black for me. I lost a dear one so close to my heart. Even in pain, I whisper it is well with my soul.
“This wasn’t seen coming. I can’t thank you all enough who called and sent messages to know why I have not been posting. Thank you.”
In other news, Rita Edochie has defended May Yul-Edochie’s decision to keep her surname despite the divorce.
In a post on her Instagram page, Rita questioned why people would be upset over someone who does not even know they exist.
She stressed that the name “Queen May Yul Edochie” has come to stay.
“Ndiala ndiala everywhere. Her name remains Queen May Yul Edochie even after the divorce because you did not give her the name. Iwe wegi oga, madam see bucket for your tears or better still go hug transformer. Haters sleep well oooo Because the name has come to stay.
“Why this so much hate on someone that doesn’t know you exist? Owelu onye melu ibeya bikonu? Pray for your own success and with God, you will definitely shine in your season. Be happy for who God Almighty has blessed for yours to come too. Stop the unnecessary anger abeg. Don’t rush or compare your journey to others. Just like the sun and moon, we all have our own unique time to shine. “
