Nollywood actress, Osas Ighodaro, has recounted her first on-screen kiss experience in the Nigerian film industry.
Naija News reports that the thespian made this known during a recent episode of ‘The Culture League’ podcast.
Osas, who relocated to Nigeria from the United States in 2012, said an actor attempted to use his tongue during her first on-screen kiss in Nollywood.
The movie star said the incident was her first rude shock in Nollywood, adding that such an intimate kiss would require a conversation between the actors.
She said, “My first on-screen kiss in Nigeria took me by surprise. Though, I knew the kiss was coming and I was prepared for an ‘on-screen kiss.’
“In my experience, you are not supposed to put your tongue down somebody’s mouth. But the person did. On the basic level, if you are going to do an on-screen kiss you talk about it, ‘Oh I’m going to put my tongue in your mouth.’ But if you don’t talk about it then you know it’s the basics.”
In other news, Yoruba film actress, Bolaji Aleem, has shared how she was sexually abused by older men when she was a child.
The actress said she grew up living with her grandmother and did not tell anyone at the time, as she thought the situation was normal.
Aleem, in an interview with FeelRightNews TV, explained that when she was around nine or ten years old, some men in her neighbourhood would ask her to come into their homes while she was working on the streets.
This happened a few times, but she did not speak to her grandmother because she felt it would not be understood.
As she grew older, other men in the area tried similar approaches, but by then she was old enough to recognize the behaviour and avoided it.
